Little Shell Island is located south of Coal Island in the Little Group of Islands, a group of islands, and rocks surrounded by drying ledges and shoals. The island is separated from Ker Island by narrow Byers Passage. The island of approximately one acre is in its beautiful natural state with mature trees, native plants, and three very usable beaches. There is an all tide dock with Specific Permission For Private Moorage, a small old boatshed encroaching on the foreshore which is grandfathered– status is questionable. There are several ideal building sites. Zoning: the island falls under “Islands Trust – North Pender Island” – Rural Residential. See Bylaws 147 & 148.
The island has been in the same family for approx. 60 years. It is remote yet close to The Town of Sidney, and about one mile east from Tsehum Harbour, and is only a short distance to Canoe Cove Marina. Do not access the island without first speaking with the listing agent.
